Reflection of Improvement
Engaging in continuous reflection has been pivotal for my learning journey in the Instructional Design Online Learning class. By critically assessing what strategies are working well and identifying areas for improvement, I have been able to adapt and refine my approach to maximize my educational outcomes.
Collaboration Group
I have actively contributed to and helped build our core collaboration group in GroupMe. I participated in two separate but related groups. The large core group that provided constructive feedback and engaged in meaningful discussions has enhanced our collective learning experience. The experience of being able to communicate with ADL students as well as EdTech students gave me multiple perspectives to approach each assignment and how my portfolio was presented to those who could benefit from the course and evaluate the course objectively.
The smaller core group is made up of EdTech students only. Within this group, we communicate and give each other support in the creation of our own projects, notes from attending class, and examples of usable portfolios.
Assignment Revisions
Revising all my assignments has been a crucial part of my learning process. Reflecting on these revisions has allowed me to recognize the growth in my understanding and application of the course material. Using the feedback of my peers to enhance my work has given me the opportunity to make sure that the material that is being presented is clear and aligns with the goal of the course. This system of checks and balances helps create an effective learning course for my stakeholders.
Course Materials
I have diligently completed all the course readings, watched the videos, and engaged with supporting resources. This comprehensive engagement has provided a solid foundation for my learning and provided me with the much-needed material to create a solid course structure.
Meeting Deadlines
Throughout the course, I have met all the activity deadlines indicated in the calendar. Adhering to these deadlines has ensured consistent progress and time management. To meet these deadlines, I began work well in advance and worked on each portion of the projects until I felt they were ready to be turned in. I gave myself ample time to receive feedback and make corrections and or updates to each project.
Supporting Contributions
Leadership Responsibility
I have taken on significant leadership responsibilities within my campus group as well as during the entire course. In this role, I have been responsible for coordinating various activities, which includes organizing schedules and ensuring that resources are readily available. I have also facilitated discussions to encourage participation and exchange of ideas among group members. Additionally, I have worked diligently to foster a collaborative learning environment, where all participants feel valued and empowered to contribute. By promoting open communication and teamwork, I aim to enhance our collective learning experience and support individual growth.
Active Participation
My active participation in various educational activities has significantly enriched my own learning experience and positively impacted my colleagues as well. By immersing myself fully in discussions, group projects, and collaborative tasks, I have been able to deepen my understanding of the material while also fostering a supportive learning environment for others. This engagement has encouraged an exchange of diverse ideas and perspectives, which has contributed to a more vibrant and dynamic educational experience for all of us involved. I believe that our collective enthusiasm and commitment to these activities have played a crucial role in enhancing our overall growth and development.

I have made active contributions in the various course forums. Posting in a timely fashion has allowed my colleagues to respond and engage meaningfully with my input.
Breadth and Depth of Thinking
My posts reflect a comprehensive and thoughtful level of analysis, grounded in thorough research. I have meticulously cited my sources using APA format to uphold the academic integrity of my contributions. However, I recognize that my in-text citations could benefit from enhancements in clarity to ensure that readers can easily understand and locate the referenced materials. I am committed to improving this aspect in future writing.
Additional Postings
In addition to my research-based postings, I have actively contributed content specifically aimed at promoting and enhancing the learning experience for our group. These contributions, while not rooted in formal research, have been instrumental in fostering a collaborative and informed environment. They have enriched the collective knowledge shared among members and have also played a significant role in the ongoing development of my Canvas course tailored for the JMS staff. Through these efforts, I hope to support and facilitate the learning journey for everyone involved.
